Whitby Dog Walking and Drop In Service
Since starting in 2016, Dog Walkz has walked and looked after more than 100 dogs (and a few cats).

Hi, I'm Rob and I run Dogwalkz. We offer a dog walking service and drop-in service based in the West Cliff area of Whitby.
​
Whether it's walking in the rain or snow, or whether it's dropping in to water and play with your dog, whether the weather is kind or not, we are here.
​
Dogs are amazing and we understand that being a dog owner is wonderful. That's why we will endeavour to give your dog the same treatment they get at home.

Initial Set-up is Free - We will visit your home to meet your dog and see what your requirements may be
Dog Walking -
One Dog - 1 Hour £13.00
One Dog - Half Hour £8.00
Additional Dog - 1 Hour £9.00
Additional Dog - Half Hour £6.00
Drop In Service -
For this service, I visit your home to look after your dog/dogs when a walk is not required.
One dog £8.00 for 30 minutes
One dog £11.00 for 45 minutes
One dog £13.00 for 60 minutes

Two dogs £12.00 for 30 minutes
Two dogs £16.00 for 45 minutes
Two dogs £20.00 for 60 minutes

Three dogs £17.00 for 30 minutes

I also do a drop-in service for cats. Change their kitty litter, feed them and give them more water and maybe some Dreamies - £5 per visit

VACCINATIONS and KENNEL
COUGH
Make sure you protect your pets and keep them safe by keeping up to date with their vaccinations.
If the number of pets protected by vaccines drops our animal companions could be at risk from an outbreak of infectious diseases, some of which can be transmitted to humans.

When to vaccinate
When puppies are born they are usually protected from infections by their mother’s milk, providing she has been regularly vaccinated. However, this protection only lasts a few weeks so they need regular vaccinations from an early age.
Puppies are typically vaccinated at eight and 10 weeks, kittens at nine and 12 weeks, with an initial course of two injections. Your young pet should then be given a booster 12 months after their first vaccination.
Dogs should be routinely vaccinated against:

Canine parvovirus

Canine distemper virus
-
Leptospirosis
-
Infectious canine hepatitis.
If your dog will be spending some time in kennels they may also be given a kennel cough vaccine. This vaccine is usually given intra-nasally (into a nostril) and protects against parainfluenza virus and bordetella bronchiseptica.
Kennel Cough
The cough associated with Kennel Cough, is a high-pitched, honk-like cough, sometimes followed by retching. Kennel Cough is a highly contagious. The disease is associated most often with dogs housed in a boarding kennel. The infectious agents can be transmitted through the air or by contact with contaminated surfaces.
Dogs travelling abroad may require a rabies vaccination.
